PRESS RELEASE: Inclusive mental health app launches
A new mental health app has launched with one goal in mind: to make therapy more accessible.

Superpow! provides online therapy services in the most accessible, flexible way possible for its users. Using details provided by users about themselves and their preferences in a series of multiple-choice questions, the app’s AI pairs them with the best matching therapist on their database.
The matching process takes into account factors such as ethnicity, cultural background, gender and age, among others. The aim is to provide a frictionless, personalised experience for users to get the most out of their therapy.
The app was co-founded by two friends, Gabriel Birgaoanu and Andrei Stoica, who were motivated to create the app after experiencing their own mental health challenges as well as issues accessing culturally appropriate therapy services.
In addition to the therapist matching feature, Superpow! also offers high levels of payment flexibility, not requiring users to subscribe for any length of time or number of sessions. To announce the launch of the app, the startup is also offering all new users their first session for free, in a further step to remove barriers to accessing mental health support.
Andrei Stoica, co-founder of Superpow! said:
“We are incredibly excited to be launching the Superpow! app and make accessing therapy easier than ever.
After over a year of stress and anxiety caused by coronavirus and lockdowns, there’s never been a better time for people to take positive steps to look after their mental health.”
Superpow! is available to download for free on the App Store and Google Play now, with the first session free for anyone using the app for the first time.
